When it's all Said and Done

Well.

I'm back in the USA.

And exhausted. As travelers are, you know.

Doubtless I will be blogging about this trip for a while to come, but right now my brain is too fried to remember the intricacies of the trip in any great detail (good thing I kept a journal!).

Meanwhile, did I tell you that I GALLOPED across the Egyptian desert on an Arabian Horse? Between the Pyramids? At sunset?

I did? Oh. Well. I did!

I'm pretty darned stoked about it.

You should know two things about me.

1. I love horses. I have since childhood. They're just gorgeous animals. Unless they're nags. In which case they're pitiable.

2. When I travel, I have a tendency to pick up British vocabulary words and accents. You could say that I am a collector of such. So don't be surprised if I throw in words such as whilst and loo.

Back to Egypt: I have pictures of the horse riding episode. Aren't you amazed? Do you know how difficult it is to take pictures whilst (see!) riding a horse????

Do you see it? Look between the horse's ears - it's a PYRAMID!!

Since I hadn't ridden a horse in three years, much less galloped, I hobbled around saddle sore for five days after in Malta and Rome. I know, I know. Poor me! ;)

Anyhoo, as I type, I am also downloading all 1045 (That's right! 1045!) photos from my trip to my computer. It will take a while I think.

But.

This vacation was amazing. One for the books, really. Or blogs, rather. Truly, truly amazing.

Weeee!
