T-Day Holiday

I spent this Thanksgiving in exotic, fantabulous, breathtaking (-ly cold)  IDAHO.

Yup. That's right. I spent the break at my 'rent's little casa in freezing North Idaho. As in so-far-north-it's-practically-Canada. Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

Either you're in "the know" about Cd'A, ID, or you're just not.

If you are, your reaction is: "It's beautiful up there!"
And if you're not, your reaction is: "Where?"

My family moved there when I was seventeen. And honestly, I wish, to this day that I was one of the people who could react with a "Where?" because I certainly don't react with a "It's beautiful up there!"

My reaction is something more like this: BLECH. You guys (parents) STILL live up in that ice cube???? And you want me to come visit you???? WHYYYYYYYYYYYeeeeeeeeee????? (Yes, it makes me revert to whining like a five year old... I'm not too proud to admit it.)

Well, the food was lovely, the company was great and the weather... was enough to make me never want to see snow again.

It blizzarded. It was blindingly white. And I wanted nothing more than to huddle in and hibernate until it was over (that and to wrestle with my "little" brother).

Proof:

I'm a tropical weather lover. This white stuff just doesn't cut it with me. Next year: Thanksgiving in Aruba, anyone?

What did you do this past fourth Thursday in November?
